Fastening Technology & Bolted/Screwed Joint Design was created to give design, manufacturing, and quality engineers along with industrial technicians a thorough grounding in the complexities of mechanical joining with fasteners. The Fastener Training Institute® and the Industrial Fasteners Institute partnered to present the first Fastener Training Week - Los Angeles in February and based on the extremely positive feedback from attendees, plans are underway to hold this training again in 2013. Fastener Training Week features learning labs taught by leading industry experts, Joe Greenslade (IFI), Carmen Vertullo CFS (Carver Engineering), and Salim Brahimi (IBECA Technologies), interactive exercises, quizzes to reinforce learning, and plant tours of manufacturing, secondary processes and testing facilities. Upon completion of this training and passing a final exam, attendees will be eligible to receive the Certified Fastener Specialistâ„¢ (CFS) designation.
